MANAGING THE POLICE TRAINING OPERATION
November 15-16, 2007
A two-day seminar for either law enforcement or corrections training officers. The seminar will focus on ways to understand the training role and how to better manage a training operation. This is not a course in how to instruct. Instead, it will present ways to improve the training operation from an administrative perspective. Topics include: (1) establishing course objectives; (2) selecting appropriate instructors; (3) criteria for selecting outside vendors for training; (4) sending personnel to training at other locations; (5) record keeping and maintaining training documents; (6) budgeting for training; (7) determining present and future departmental training needs; and (8) planning and improving the field training program. INSTRUCTOR: Russ Pomrenke, Criminal Justice Program Director, Gwinnett Technical College. He is a former Director of Training at the Gainesville (GA) Police Department and is a Georgia POST Certified Instructor. Participants attending this program will earn 13 retraining credits required by the State of Georgia for law enforcement personnel.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME
Program will be conducted November 15-16, 2007 and hosted by the Cobb County Police Academy, 2109 Valor Drive, Marietta, Georgia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

FEE
$295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program may claim a 15% team discount which must be done at the time of registration.

If you register with a payment or purchase order and later find that you cannot attend the program, you must notify Benchmark Professional Seminars, Inc. at (302) 654-9091 by the same November 8, 2007 date or a refund cannot be processed. Failure to do so will obligate your agency to pay the registration fee. Substitution may be made at any time, including the opening session of the program you plan to attend.
