PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION

23-24, 2007
A two-day seminar for persons who are inexperienced in performing
pre-employment, background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations
within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include: (1)
importance of the pre-employment background investigation; (2) what may or may not
be asked during an investigation; (3) federal laws relating to employment of the
handicapped; (4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation;
(5) pre-employment interview techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in
background investigations. INSTRUCTOR: Russ Pomrenke, Criminal Justice Program
Director, Gwinnett Technical College. He is a former Director of Training at the
Gainesville (GA) Police Department and is a Georgia POST Certified Instructor. Participants
attending this program will earn 13 retraining credits required by the State of Georgia
for law enforcement personnel.
DATE/LOCATION/TIME
Program
will be conducted October 23-24, 2007 and hosted by the Cobb County Police Academy,
2109 Valor Drive, Marietta, Georgia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.daily.
FEE
$295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel
in this program may claim a 15% team discount.

POLICY

you register with a payment or purchase order and later find that you cannot attend
the program, you must notify Benchmark Professional Seminars, Inc. at (302) 654-9091
by the same October 16, 2007 date or a refund cannot be processed. Failure to do
so will obligate your agency to pay the registration fee. Substitution may be made
at any time, including the opening session of the program you plan to attend. Mastercard
