IMPROVING DIGITAL POLICE/FIRE SCENE PHOTOGRAPHY
May 22-23, 2008
A seminar for police and fire personnel who have little previous formal instruction on how to enhance their skill in the use of digital photography equipment at crime and fire scenes. The first day will cover such topics as (1) crisp and clear photographic images involving depth of field and shutter speed; (2) photographing the scene in a professional manner; (3) vehicles and reflective surfaces; (4) use of flash drive and means to burn CDs. The second day will focus on close-up and macro photographic techniques; (2) photographic recovery of injuries and domestic violence;(3) latent finger print photography and (4) special photographic lighting and capture. Numerous class and out-of-class exercises will be utilized to enhance the information provided during the class. Participants should plan to bring the following items to the class: (1) digital camera; (2) lens; (3) flash; (4) tripod (4) laptop computer; (5) USB Port; and (6) CD burner. INSTRUCTOR: King Brown, Crime Scene Supervisor, West Palm Beach Police Department, West Palm Beach, Florida.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar will be conducted May 22-23, 2008 at the West Palm Beach Police Department, 600 Banyan Road, West Palm Beach, Florida. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

FEE: $295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel are entitled to a 15% team discount.
