MANAGING THE POLICE TRAINING OPERATION
May 13-14, 2008
A two-day seminar for either law enforcement or corrections training officers. The seminar will focus on ways to understand the training role and how to better manage a training operation. This is not a course in how to instruct. Instead, it will present ways to improve the training operation from an administrative perspective. Topics include: (1) establishing course objectives; (2) selecting appropriate instructors; (3) criteria for selecting outside vendors for training; (4) sending personnel to training at other locations; (5) record keeping and maintaining training documents; (6) budgeting for training; (7) determining present and future departmental training needs; and (8) planning and improving the field training program. DATE/LOCATION/TIME
Seminar will be conducted May 13-14, 2008 at the Tallahassee Police Department Mall Training Annex, 2415 North Monroe Street (Highway US - 27) in Tallahassee, Florida. Full directions to the site will be provided in the confirmation letter. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

FEE
$295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program may claim at 15% team discount.
