PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PROCESS
May 12-13, 2008
A basic two-day seminar for persons who have little or
no experience or formal training in performing pre-employment, background investigations.
The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security,
or government organizations. Topics include: (1) importance of the pre-employment
background investigation; (2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation;
(3) federal laws relating to employment of the handicapped; (4) various resources
that may be used during the course of an investigation; (5) pre-employment interview
techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in background investigations.
DATE / LOCATION / TIME
Seminar will be conducted on May 12-13,
2008 on the campus of Onondaga Community College at the Public Safety Training Center,
Central New York Police Academy, J. Stanley Coyne Building, 4969 Onondaga Road in
Syracuse, New York. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program
day.
FEE:
$295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel
in this program are entitled to claim a 15% team discount.
