PROPERTY/EVIDENCE ROOM TECHNICIANS' SEMINAR
March 17-18, 2008
A seminar designed to enable personnel who serve as evidence technicians within property rooms to design, implement, and maintain a property and evidence control system. During the two days of instruction, topics to be covered include:
(1) job of the evidence technician; (2) forms as data gathering tools; (3) chain of custody; (4) packaging and submission; (5) access and security to the property/evidence room; (6) computerized tracking and bar-coding; (7) storage locations: general and specific; (9) notifications; (10) inspections, audits, and inventories; (11) temporary release; and (12) final disposition and destruction of stored case evidence. INSTRUCTOR: Sam Dobson, Palm Beach Gardens Police Department, Palm Beach Garden, Florida.

Seminar will be conducted on March 17-18, 2008 on the campus of Onondaga Community College at the Public Safety Training Center, Central New York Police Academy, J. Stanley Coyne Building, 4969 Onondaga Road in Syracuse, New York. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program day.

FEE:
$295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program are entitled to claim a 15% team discount.

Failure to do so will obligate your agency to pay the registration fee. Substitution may be made at any time, including the opening session of the program.
