PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
September 27-28, 2007
A two-day seminar for persons who are inexperienced in performing pre-employment, background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include: (1) importance of the pre-employment background investigation; (2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation; (3) federal laws relating to employment of the handicapped; (4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation; (5) pre-employment interview techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in background investigations.

INSTRUCTOR
Chief Phillip Ludos, Cocoa Police Department, Cocoa, Florida. Chief Ludos is a highly experience law officer agent with extensive administrative and training background with agencies in Michigan and Florida. He has served in various capacities within police organizations, including recruitment, and has extensive background as a trainer and facilitator of seminars at various agencies.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar will be conducted Septermber 27-28, 2007 at the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Police Institute on the campus of Nova Southeastern University, 8585 South West 124 Avenue in Miami, Florida. Specific directions will be provided on confirmation letter. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

FEE: $295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program may claim a 15% team discount.
