This seminar is for officers and investigators
who have little previous training in death related cases or those who desire a refresher
seminar on these types of investigations.. Topics to be covered include: (1) role
of forensic science in death case investigation; (2) typical wounds encountered in
such cases; (3) evidence collection and methods of transport; (4) case specific crimes
and situations; (5) dealing with witnesses; (6) suspect apprehension; (7) basic interview
and interrogation methods; and (8) importance of documentation for successful case

Seminar will be conducted January 17-18, 2008 at the Essex County College Police
Academy, 250 Grove Avenue, Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Class will be in session 8:30
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.daily.
